As an accountant at Fire & Feast, you will manage our establishment's financial operations. You will ensure the accuracy of financial records, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Your role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the restaurant.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and organized.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of the restaurant's budget and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports to management.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate reports detailing financial status, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments from customers and clients.
Bank Reconciliation:
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
Tax Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings.
Prepare and submit tax returns and other necessary tax documentation.
Payroll Management:
Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
Maintain payroll records and handle any payroll-related inquiries.
Internal Controls and Auditing:
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the restaurant's assets.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Cost Control:
Monitor and analyse cost structures, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Work with management to develop strategies for cost control.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Stay updated with changes in accounting practices and regulations.
